Fall Festival 201011-12 Celebrate 100 Years Hillsboro United Methodist Church, 5313 Old Highway 96 in Leiper's Fork, kicks off its centennial anniversary with its 20th Annual Fall Festival on the 11th at 4:30 p.m. when the festival offers Smokin' Joe's Bar B Q dinner plates with homemade trimmings, a country store with home baked and canned goods and a children's game area. Silent and live auctions with antiques, theme baskets, baked goods and other treasures are highlighted by a Wilda Moss directed hand stitched quilt and an original John Gibson-crafted coffee table. At 11 a.m. on the 12th, a celebratory service held under the tent recognizes the church's first 100 years followed by a covered dish supper. 615.595.0155

Pratt MemorialThe Third Annual Betty Pratt Memorial Spaghetti Dinner at the Hillsboro/Leipers Fork Recreation Center from 5 to 9 p.m. The center transforms into an Italian restaurant that offers spaghetti, salad, drink and bread for the low price of $7. This year has more wines, foods and tasting stations.
